What To Expect

Treatment Room 1At Podiatry Shetland expect to find a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Whether you have visited a podiatrist in the past, or if you are visiting a podiatrist for the first time, we think it's important that you are comfortable in your surroundings and can relax knowing we are here to help.

If you are visiting our clinic for the first time we will take some time to sit with you and discuss your foot or lower limb complaint and work together to set out your goals. During this inital consultation there will be an examination of your feet or problem area in which we have a range of assessment tools to help us find the solution for you. This initial consultation meeting helps us get off on the right foot (excuse the pun!), and lets us set out a treatment plan that works for you. This treatment plan is unique to you, and helps us work together in partnership to treat your complaint effectively and meet your needs and expectations.

Treatment Room 2We are also focussed to support you to manage your issue. Many common complaints can be prevented or treated by simple treatments that can be carried out by you in your own home. This can minimise the amount of repeat visits necessary. If this is relevant our team will go through the treatment steps with you during your appointment.

Appointments usually last for half an hour, but this can vary depending on the type of treatment you are receiving.
