What is eczema?

The most common type of eczema is atopic eczema which is caused by the body becoming in contact with a specific substance.

What will I see?

Symptoms will vary but the skin will become red, itchy and might become blistered or commonly seen on the feet dry and crack.

What can I do at home?

Avoid the irritant if you know what it is and moisturise.

When do I seek help?

It is worth making an appointment with your General Practitioner who can provide a diagnosis, agree a care plan and refer you to a specialist if appropriate.
